That is a good tool for a person whose job is building flows. Wire AI has no builder at all. The AI writes the variants for the four journey surfaces, runs four live at once, reads which one keeps users, and keeps the winner. If nobody on your team owns onboarding, a builder is another empty tab.

Breadth. Appcues covers flows built from modals, slideouts and tooltips, plus embeds that sit inline in your own UI, surveys with rating and select and text questions, and push notifications, across iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter and Ionic.[2]
Anchored tooltips that find real elements. Screen capture pulls a screenshot from your app to use as the builder background, and Appcues documents that this is what lets anchored tooltips target the on-screen elements you pick. If you need a tooltip pinned to a specific button, that is a real capability.[3]
A product team can work without an engineer after install. Appcues says you design and publish everything from your Appcues account. For a company with a product marketer and a PM, that division of labour is the whole point.[2]
Where Wire AI wins
There is no builder to staff. A builder assumes a person who owns flows and has time to write four versions of each. Solo founders do not have that person, which is why the tab stays empty and the onboarding stays whatever it was on launch day.
Wire runs four versions of a step at once and keeps what works, instead of publishing one flow and waiting for someone to notice it is not working.

What Wire AI does not do
- No anchored tooltips pinned to arbitrary existing UI elements. Wire renders its own surfaces, so it does not reach into a screen it did not draw.
- React Native and Expo only. No native iOS or Android SDK, no Flutter, no Ionic, no web.
- No visual builder, deliberately. If you want to hand-design a specific flow and ship exactly that, this is the wrong tool and Appcues is the right one.
- Younger product, smaller integration catalogue, and the receipt today is onboarding completion at 92% in a live consumer app I run engineering for.

a product marketer or PM owns in-app messaging, you need anchored tooltips on existing screens, or you ship native iOS and Android alongside React Native.
Use Wire AI if
you are the founder and also the growth team, you ship React Native, and the honest reason your onboarding has not changed in six months is that nobody had a spare week.
Neither is a moat on releases
Both change in-app experiences without shipping a build. That is table stakes in this category now, so it is not the thing to pick on.
