What Wire AI will not optimize on
Wire AI decides what each user sees next from what they tell your onboarding and how they behave in your app. Three kinds of signal sit outside that decision permanently. This page is a commitment we make and a limit we put in your contract: it says what Wire will not do with those signals, and what you may not instruct Wire to do with them.
Minor status and age
Wire AI will not use a user's age, birth year, or minor status to decide what that user is shown, and it will not target a flow at users because they are young. Age can be a perfectly ordinary onboarding question in your app. It is not an input Wire optimizes toward, and you may not instruct Wire to treat it as one.
Health condition
Wire AI will not use a health condition, a diagnosis, a symptom, a medication, or anything a user says about their body or their mind to decide what they are shown next. A wellness app can ask its own health questions and keep its own answers. Wire will not turn those answers into an optimization signal, and you may not instruct it to.
Financial distress
Wire AI will not use debt, missed payments, low balance, unemployment, or any other marker of financial difficulty to decide what a user is shown. The clearest case is the one people worry about. A user in money trouble is not a user to push harder. Wire will not optimize on it, and you may not instruct it to.
What the system does today
Two things are true at once here, and we would rather say both than round them into one. The first is a fact about the code: Wire AI does not use signals of these three classes as optimization inputs. The second is narrower than people usually assume. Where an app's configuration carries an input of this class, the server observes it and writes a record of it. That is the whole behavior. The record is a log line on our side, it has no consumer today, and nothing in the product reads it back.
So the weight on this page is carried by two things: the commitment, and your contract. Not a machine. We would rather say that plainly than describe a control we have not built.
If you need one of these signals
Some apps genuinely need to ask about health or about money, because that is the product. Ask it, store it, use it in your own app. Just keep it out of what you hand Wire AI to optimize against.
